Offline Maps
Maps Without Signal
Tracking works without signal, but the map tiles behind your route need to be downloaded in advance if you want to see the map in remote areas. Settings › Offline Maps lets you save regions to your phone.
Download a Region
- Tap Add New Region
- Move the map so the square covers the area you want, then tap Looks good?
- Give the region a name, e.g. "North Cascades"
- Tap Download Region. Regions are usually 15 to 100 MB, so use Wi-Fi
How Many Regions
Day Trippers can keep 1 region; Explorer members can keep 4. A low-resolution world map is built in and does not count. Only one region downloads at a time.
Managing Regions
Open a region to delete it. Delete All Regions and Clear Map Cache are at the bottom of the screen. If the map style changes, the screen offers Update All so your saved regions match.
