We’ve Hauled Out!
It’s been a whirlwind of a couple weeks! We’ve been on the edge of deciding whether to go home for a few months for a good couple weeks now. We really did not want to fly, this is something we both feel quite strongly about especially after being in places that are so badly affected by the causes of climate change. However, due to multiple events happening back home we felt that it was time to bite the bullet and be a little hypocritical!
This meant hauling the boat… something we don’t hugely look forward to due to the extensive job list that follows and the normally very uncomfortable living conditions they boat yards being with them.
That being said, the haul out went very smoothly and Apataki yard is without doubt the most picturesque yard we’ve ever been to!
Long sandy beaches, a nice breeze, and crystal clear waters made for quite an enjoyable time preparing to leave her for a few months!
Next up… trying to organise our long journey home!
