Apataki boat yard | Launch Day!
After a busy 10 days in the boat yard it’s finally time to put Nanuka back where she belongs. Boat yard life is never our favourite time however we got some good projects done and hopefully set us up for a season cruising French Polynesia which we are super excited for. The launch back into the sea via a tractor, trailer and some ply boards to put under our keel as we scraped along the bottom was an interesting experience to say the least… We’re on the upper end of what they can haul at apataki so it was quite a lengthy and skill full process to get here afloat. We’ve just hoisted our main, the kettle is on, and we’re heading a few miles south where we’ll spend our first night back on anchor.
