Sailing Tuamotus | Ahe

After spending a lovely week in Aratika we headed north with our buddy boat, Isla, to Ahe. This was an overnight sail where we saw some very squally weather making for some tiring sailing. We arrived at first light and headed to the North of the atoll to shelter from some winds for a couple days.

Once the wind had blown through we found a spot closer to the pass where we decided to create our own moorings due to there being a lack of sand. Although it was deep, our system worked really well and we had a lovely few days free diving, surfing and relaxing with friends.

After a few days our Australian friends, Matahari, arrived with a large amount of Marlin that they caught on the sail up. This was very welcome as our supplies were dwindling after not having access to a stocked shop for almost 6 weeks!
