Looking Back At Tokyo
Braithwaite & Kirk
A little local curiosity, this is a span of an early 20th century (1907) bridge made in West Bromwich for the (then) new Japanese railway to cross the Edo river. It now stands in a local park as a little memento.
Gales!
The early afternoon breeze turned into a late afternoon tailwind kick, and then into an intense, gale force crosswind.
I was mentally ready to test the windproofness of my tent wildcamping by the river, but now feel like my decision to push on to stay in a cheap trucker's rest stop was a good one!
