Day 33: Barbadelo -> Gonzar
Late start as we’ve been desperately trying to book a campervan for our impending New Zealand trip. Today’s walk: 25km to GONZAR! (Sounds like a town straight out of The Lord of the Rings 🧌🔥)

Change Of Plans
Got some major lip from our hostel in Gonzar who cancelled on us last minute for no reason. Thankfully found a room a bit further on in Castromaior. Lady from original hostel didn’t like us asking why, and has my bag with her (which I sent there using the luggage service). Let’s see if she puts it in the albergue next door like she said she would before we had a little argument with her over the phone, or if she’s chucked it out in the rain somewhere 😱 (thankfully no valuables in it). On a very positive note, passed the 100km mark and now almost in the 80s! Absolutely stormed through 18k this morning, and sitting down for lunch to ‘de-rage’ before going to find my bag 🧘🏻♂️🧘🏻♀️

Dancing To Santiago
Cheerful climb this afternoon. Found my bag (covered in mud) in an albergue, before reaching our very peaceful destination in a teeny hamlet called Castromaior. We are now knackered because we walked so bloody quickly today trying to break free from the crowds. Onwards for 82km, 3 days left!
Where Even Are We Right Now?
Even though most of the time we’re wondering where the hell we are, and why we’re here, there’s always some kind of friendly furball there to help us feel welcome.
