Private and Password-Protected Journeys

Make a journey private or protect it with a password.

Journey Visibility

Every journey is either public or private. Private journeys can also require a password.

Public

Listed in the feed, on the adventure map, in the Explorer Directory and in search, and your followers are notified of new chapters and Pebbls.

Private

Left out of all listings and notifications. Anyone who has the link can still open the journey, so it is right for sharing with family without the world watching. The app sometimes calls this "unlisted". Private journeys cannot be shared to communities.

Password

Add a password of 6 to 20 characters to a private journey and visitors must enter it as an access code before they see anything. They stay unlocked for 24 hours. The password is not shown anywhere on Pebbls, so keep a note of it.

If Your Membership Ends

Private and password settings are Explorer features. If your membership lapses, the journey stays as it is until you next save its settings, when it becomes public.
