Stage 17 etap 2 - September 13 2026
I cycled 73 km to the Baku Port. Some of that was minus 28m by the Caspian Sea. Yesterday the ship was due to dock and I have a ticket. But it is very delayed and now waiting to board. I met a cycling family from Germany so we hang out together! Eventually we were processed and boarded around 3.30am.

After being told to be in the pre-departure area at 3pm on 12th we finally boarded at 3.30am on 13th Sept

This is the cargo ship that is taking me across the Caspian Sea to Kazakhstan. We had to wait until about 03.30 am to get on and then the ship stayed to wait for more cargo to leave when it was full - at 07.40
It is quite a modern vessel.
