Stage 7 ETAP 14 - May 7 2025
It rained a lot yesterday so I am hoping for a dry ride from Sigulda to Riga today. This is the last Etap in stage 7.
Stage 8 in June will begin in Riga and take me through Latvia to Lithuania - and be my 100th country!
Sigulda Castle
ETAP 14 to Riga completes Stage 7
Just over 1,000km since Helsinki. Happy to arrive to the calm of old Riga after navigating through the outskirts of this big city. At least the main road from Sigulda had the gift of a wide hard shoulder most of the way. I will leave my bike here and look forward to starting Stage 8 in a few short weeks.
Turaida Castle
Turaida is probably the most important castle in Latvia. It is May 7 and snowed when I was there.
