Cycling Day 48: To Fujimi

Paused for peanuts...
I paused in a layby for a quick snack and a guy came up behind me and said hello. His name was Hayato Koboyashi (sorry, I've probably got that a bit wrong!). He'd seen the bike and wanted to say hi as he's a cycle-tourer too - he been around Hokkaido. He insisted on giving me lots of extra food even though I'm only 5km from my destination now. I'm not sure if I managed to convey that I was at the end of my tour, but I did make to give him the Pebbls link, so, thanks for saying hi and for all the food Hayato!

I was a little earlier than I said I would arrive, so went to sit in a park for a bit and eat cake (Hayato's gift of milk bread - essentially a big cream cake - tasty!). It had benches, nice wildflowers...and then I noticed Mount Fuji in the distance too! Still 70km or so away, so it's a bit faint, but big!
Pocari Sweat
I'd been meaning to try this since I first saw it on Okinawa and was bemused by how awful the name sounded! It's not unpleasant. Smooth, but with a slight hint of fizz and lemon. Pocari has quite nice sweat 😉
