Lovely river valley, bit so many long stretches of roadworks with guys stopping us and waving us through!
Youhai Hachinoji Park - Free Campsite!
We've rolled down to near to Yatsishiro where there's a free campsite with a toilet block and water - pretty much the same facilities we paid for last night, but sandwiches between a main road flyover and a railway bridge, so it won't be peaceful!
When we arrived we were greeted by a Hungarian man and has French son. By a strange coincidence, we'd requested a Warmshowers stay with a family a little further north for Friday and Saturday nights and it was them! If we don't annoy them too much, maybe we'll be able to shelter at their place though what looks like terrible weather forecast for Saturday!
There's a bird nesting above the basin in the mens' toilets!
We went for food at a 7-Eleven, but the veggie options were limited - I had a tofu stick, 3x onigiri rice balls and a burdock salad sandwich, then we shared some small apple cakes. Suchern had a few better options as she eats fish!
