Sailing Makemo | Our First Atoll

After navigating the pass we noticed 8 miles to the eastern side of the atoll to find shelter from some winds that would come up over the next few days. We dropped anchor and went about floating our chain - something new to both of us! Most of these stills are covered in coral heads and therefore it’s good practise to use floats to lift the chain off the bottom.

We spent a few days relaxing, snorkelling and foiling. A great start to the a Tuamotos.
