Ua Pou - The Search For Fresh Veg
We have chosen to take a weather window before some squally days ahead to sail overnight to the next island north in search for some fresh veg! Our supplies are out and we’re digging deeper into our lockers for tins…
This is our first night sail since the pacific crossing. In many ways doing a few weeks sail is easier than just one! We had good wind for most of the night until the sails started to slap around 3am as the wind dropped. We persevered until sunrise before turning the motor on about 6 miles out. We’re now 2 miles away from the small port where we hope there’ll be space to anchor to sit out some weather for a few days.
