Day 23
After meeting the legend I will always know as "Swiss Frank", I'm conducting Tsugaru side missions: Hirosaki Castle and Shayokan, the home of the writer Dazai Osamu, on 4 hours sleep and a hangover. An excellent wild road from Shayokan to Aomori.

Shayokan
The massive childhood home of the great writer Osamu Dazai. I'm not absolutely convinced it was worth an extra 35k of cycling, but I'm glad to have seen it and connected with Dazai in a little way. I like his books and they are intimately connected with this place and with the Tsugaru region.
