Cycling Day 22: Along the peninsula
I've now been in Japan for a full month!
It's a westernised place, but they do things in their own way, from the heated, bidet toilet seats, to the very compact cars...and the preference for things to be reserved days in advance, which has bitten us a few times! Most people are really polite and helpful, but you can't be sure how much that is just for show.
The scenery is great here, but hiking trails seem to be either concrete/road, or super-challenging adventures you might not fully enjoy until you've survived them...perhaps I'm just not picking them well though!

Wild camping in the open...
We've camped a bit in the open on gravel next to a river. It was marked as a camp spot on a map, but definitely not official, so we may need to get up and pack up quite early (compared to usual!) in the morning...
