Our Air BnB
A few photos from our Air BnB in the Barranco neighborhood of Lima.
Views
Views from our window of our Air BnB in the Bohemian district of Barranco.
Parque de la Cruz
In the mornings we like to walk to La Bodega Verde for coffee & then go the the parque & sit & watch the birds. It's a beautiful park!
Street art
There is lovely graffiti located just along the parque.
La bodega verde
We found this little gem on our first visit in 2025 & somehow we are always within walking distance of itwith every AirBnB! The staff is extremely friendly & the coffee is really good. Also it's a beautiful space with lots of outdoor elements.
Hermitage of Barranco
Formerly known as the Templo de la Santisima Cruz, la Ermita de Barranco is a seaside church built in 1901. It was closed after an earthquake in 1940 severely damaged the adobe structure. Despite numerous attempts at renovation, the building has continued to deteriorate & the roof has almost completely collapsed. It was declared a World Monument in 2016 but complete plans for restoration are not complete yet.
Parque de la Cruz
This parque located in Barranco right on the Pacific Ocean. It has magnificent statues (including a cross, of course!) & is great for bird watching. There are also great statues of the Black Vultures!
Black vultures!
The statues of the black vultures are pretty cool!
Our Favorite Breweries!
If you know us you know we like BEER! Here are a few of our favorites in Lima.
Cerveceria Del Valle Sagrado - Miraflore
Valle Sagrado has many locations in Peru but this one has a great outside space. Located in Miraflores, it’s a great spot for people watching & we really like the boojie glasses!
Invictus
This is probably our 2nd favorite brewery in Lima! Located in Barranco near the Main Square, it's in an old house & has a great front porch to sit & enjoy a nice hazy. Plus pretty cool art inside!
Red Cervecera
Our favorite brewery in Barranco!
Barbarian
Not our favorite brewery, but they open early so our go to while waiting on the others to open! We like that they always have futbol on & the Tropikal Nordic Hazy is a solid beer.
Parque de Kennedy by way of el Malecón
Being a cat person, my favorite place is Kennedy Park, which is full of sweet adoptable cats! Our favorite way to get there is along El Malecón, which is a scenic 6 mile path on top of the cliffs along the Pacific Ocean. There are also so many cool parks along the way.

Puente de La Paz
This glass-floor pedestrian bridge was just opened in August 2025 (we got to see it under construction in Feb 2025!) & connects Barranco & Miraflores districts. It offers some great views & even has a park built for it (Parque Bicentario).
Parque de Kennedy
Also known as the :Central Park of Lima", this park is located in the center of Miraflores & covers approx 5.5 acres. It has beautiful paths & gardens, but is now best known for the CATS! It serves as a "shelter" for numerous adoptable cats - the cats are fed, petted, spoiled, spayed/neutered & even treated by a vetrinarian who visists the park regularly.
Cats of Parque de Kennedy
A few of my favorite felines! When I say these cats are spoiled, I mean it. The surrounding restaurants bring them food all during the day to supplement their dry kibble. The only treat they do not turn their noses up at are salmon "squeezies".
