Guesthouse

· Japan

With a wet night forecast and lots of washing to do and being a bit road-weary, we had a short day and checked ourselves into a cyclists' guesthouse called Ted's. It had a bit of a bike workshop area for visitors' use.

I had come across a discarded telescopic umbrella during the day and spent a while recreating my rucksack mount (had to go and buy a drill bit as there weren't any for the screwdriver/drill!). I also noticed my rear rack was a bit wobbly and found a (very long) bolt had sheared off. Fortunately the remaining length is still just looking enough and I managed to get the broken bit out of the bike frame - hopefully it'll be okay for the rest of the trip!

I wandered out in the dark & drizzle for a little sightseeing, but my phone wasn't doing well at night photos!

A young American traveller called Sienna chatted with us while we are a delicious noodle and tofu veggie concoction Suchern made, and even shared her unwanted ice cream with us 🙂

The weather could be pretty wet tomorrow, so we're undecided about cycling on as yet...
