Church of St. Mark
Located on St. Mark's Square in Zagreb's Upper Town, St. Mark's Church is one of the city's most iconic buildings. Built in the 13th century, it blends Romanesque and Gothic styles. Its most distinctive feature is its brightly colored roof tiles, inlaid with the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, and Slavonia, as well as the Zagreb coat of arms. The church's interior is exquisitely decorated, creating a solemn and elegant atmosphere.
