I started in Ladakh, in the Himalayas of Northern India, where I live most of the time. I flew to Buenos Aires, then to Uruguay, then to South Georgia Islands, Antarctica, Ushuaia Argentina, Punto, Arenas, Chile to Barichara, Colombia.

Day 1 Barichara
I arrived in Barrichata at 11 PM. Long trip, 3 planes, 2 thirty minute taxis, 1 three hour bus ride. will stay here for sometime. First day.

My eye is so drawn to the beauty here that I can’t get walk in. The colors of the textures, the shadows. Photography allows me to begin to see the world, a little differently, in little pieces.

Lake Tota, Boyaca, Colombia
Arrived late last night on the bus from San Gil, Santander. I stayed three weeks in and around Barichara. I have no set plans other than walking, exploring, and seeing some of the heritage villages.
Ushuaia
In Ushuaia, end of the world, Tierra del Fuego national Park. Spent almost a week here. It has changed so much so built up so tourist and incredibly expensive. But the nature is still superb.

Arriving To Punta Arenas From Ushuaia
Found a ride with a beautiful man for the 10 hour trip from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas. I love hitchhiking and the people I meet. Opens my heart.
My Last Day Around Lake Tota
It’s an interesting area. Not what I expected at all. A little too developed for me. But a nice cool place to be after the heat that I felt.Barichara. Tomorrow I head off again.

Exploring around Villa De Leyva. Went to Hayal waterfall in cave. Beautiful. Roll on the back of motorcycle down down down dirt roads. Got dropped off and I had no idea how I would get back, but it all worked out and spent a beautiful day exploring this ancient sacred space.

What a beautiful peaceful space.
In Florián. A 4 Hour Dirt Road
So I really wanted to come here and explore many of the things around including amazing waterfalls. Around this great place to stay for eight dollars a night and it’s right across from the waterfall which happens to be dry right now. Sadly. But enjoying the space in the hammock.

Wow, what amazing place. Super difficult to get here or to get to anywhere from here. Hours on dirt roads. But nice small village probably three streets wide by maybe six streets, long and waterfalls

In The Village Of Doradal, Colombia
Went out to a waterfall and spent the day swimming. Super hot here. Only two nights. Know for being Santorini of Colombia Cris section of the town that’s painted white and blue

San Feliz Near Salamina
I am in love with this town. Claudia and I went walking towards the wax even though I didn’t get there. I just was in love with the landscape. The colors, the hills, friendliness of everyone who passed. The drive up from Salamina is incredibly beautiful and steep. My mind was already thinking I could live here. I could teach English for beginner and conversation for free. I would have a handmade gray wool poncho.
San Feliz. I Am In Love.
I love this village. Beautiful walk, lovely people, .. I was already thinking about how I could live here. I could teach English. Adopt a dog. Have a garden. The drive up from Salamina was incredible.

Did a Workaway here outside of Jericho and we got a lot done and cleaning and organizing his house. A great kind soul, Josef.

Sue and I met after at least 10 years to travel together through Iceland. She is funding it and I am supporting her as best I can.
