Cycling Day 35: To Tokoshima

These were from a short wander along a trail we hadn't followed from the campsite yet...we didn't go far though.
It felt like a really cold night last night, and the campsite is shaded in the mornings, so we haven't warmed up until carrying our bags back over the vine bridge to our bikes and soaking up some morning sun for a bit! Thankfully it is a warm, sunny day with little wind, so should be good for cycling.
First stage is a 450m ascent to the mountain pass, then lots of downhill on the other side!
Highest point cycled to - 1425m
Or just after, anyway. I think my previous highest was 1300 and something metres on Corsica.

Oops, we overlooked a 380m ascent on the way to Tokoshima 🫤
Hopefully the ice creams we had just before will help us with the climb!

We made it, and have been rewarded with some nice valley views down the other side!

Suchern found us an amazing Warmshowers host in Tokoshima - Hiro and his family! They've a big guest room and it looks like he did a massive and awesome trip back in 2010/2011!
